Welcome to MM by JIL, where practical repair meets creative farewell. Whether you're here to shop our boutique or request equipment services, you're agreeing to the following terms which are designed to keep things clear, fair, and human.

1. 🧰 Who We Are

MM by JIL offers two distinct services:

  • Mortuary equipment repair (cots, embalming machines, etc.)

  • A boutique collection of original tools and products like coloring books, building block sets, and thoughtful gifts that honor the behind-the-scenes work of funeral professionals.

This site and shop are powered by Shopify. Boutique items like our coloring books and printed products are fulfilled by trusted third-party partners on our behalf, while repair services and all other direct communication come from us at MM by JIL.

2. 📋 Access and Account

By using our site, you confirm you’re of legal age in your area (or have permission from your grown-up). If you provide us with any information during checkout (like your email, address, or payment info), it needs to be accurate and current.

You are responsible for what happens with your account or information. We’re not liable for typos, shared passwords, or cats walking across your keyboard.

3. 🛍 Product Details & Expectations

We try our best to show accurate product images and descriptions. That said, color or material may vary slightly depending on your screen or printer limitations.

All product descriptions are subject to change. We may discontinue or limit items based on availability, demand, or our creative direction.

4. 📦 Orders, Payments & Fulfillment

Boutique purchases are fulfilled through third-party partners like Lulu.

  • Orders are processed immediately. We cannot cancel or edit them once placed.

  • Payment must be approved before orders are accepted.

  • You’ll receive an order confirmation by email. We may decline or cancel orders at our discretion (but we’ll do our best to notify you if that happens).

Repair services: Quotes are based on current conditions and may change depending on actual needs or parts. Payment terms for services are outlined in each estimate.

5. 🚚 Shipping & Delivery

We are not responsible for shipping delays, customs issues, or hiccups caused by the carrier once your order leaves the printer. We’ll always share tracking if available and do our best to assist if something goes awry. But once it's en route, the shipping carrier is in the driver's seat.

6. 🔁 Returns & Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Here's what you need to know:

  • Items must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging

  • Contact us within 7 days of receiving your item

  • Return items within 15 days once approved

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the status

  • If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund and you haven’t received it, email us at quietacts@mmbyjil.com.

7. 🛠 Repair Service Disclaimer

We treat your equipment with professional care but we aren’t responsible for damage caused after your item leaves our hands.

Once serviced, the proper maintenance and safe operation of your equipment are your responsibility. If safety standards can’t be met, we may refuse service.

8. 🔗 Third-Party Links

We may occasionally link to other websites (like Lulu, Instagram, etc.). When you click those links, you’re leaving our domain. We’re not responsible for outside content, policies, or any transactions you complete elsewhere.

9. 🔒 Privacy

Any personal information you share is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Since this website is hosted by Shopify, they also collect certain data to help run things smoothly. You can review their privacy practices here.

10. 💬 Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, reviews, or tag us in a post you’re giving us permission to use it for promotion, improvement, or simply to smile. We won’t publish anything disrespectful, private, or hateful.

Occasionally, there might be a typo, pricing mistake, or outdated info. We reserve the right to correct it without notice even after an order is placed.

12. 🚫 Prohibited Use

Please don’t use this website or our products for anything illegal, harmful, or disrespectful including spamming, hacking, scraping, or harassing anyone. We reserve the right to refuse service or access if you violate this vibe.

13. 📎 Intellectual Property

All MM by JIL content including logos, designs, products, and writing belongs to us. You can’t copy, sell, or reuse anything without written permission. (Our coloring pages are for coloring, not cloning.)

14. ⚖️ Legal Stuff (Summarized)

  • Warranties: Our products and services are provided “as is.” We make no guarantees beyond what’s explicitly stated.

  • Liability: We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or emotional -outbursts caused by delayed packages or printer quirks.
